I thought I was caught up then realized the first trimester is not through 18 weeks.
Laying here in bed I turned to Tomek. When does the 2nd trimester start again? 16 weeks? "That sounds early to me" *types in Google* Ohh oops. 14 weeks. 🤣🤣
So clearly pregnancy brain (and supportive spouse pregnancy brain) exists in this house!!
So here's the "crash course" of those missed weeks to catch up.
14w: Lots of nausea, vomiting, dizzy, exhaustion, fatigue, desperation for my children to turn into calm happy self entertaining kiddos (no such luck of course). 🤣
15w: Despite feeling terrible and Covid being a huge issue we decided to safely drive us and the boys to llinois to a random parking lot where my dad John dressed up in his Santa best like when I was a kid and took pictures with our boys! We were all masked and stayed very safe but it meant more than I could ever explain to share that joyous tradition I had way back when with them!
16w: We had our ultrasound discussed in my previous post. (Lord I did much better with all this before. I might have to come back through post birth and tell their story better). This was when we found out about BOTH of them. A state of shock was basically experienced this entire week. We already had a girl name (Adeline) picked out when we had picked Patrick's name about 4 years ago and we were happy with her name with Declan's when we realized we would be using both.
17w: 12/20 We always go see my family in Northern Indiana just before Christmas. After all clear covid testing we safely met together for the holiday. I have to admit this was the first year I just did a terrible job with Christmas gifts. I didn't have some done to bring. Others I brought but didn't even wrap. I was tired and struggling to keep up enough as it was. Thankfully no one cared and we all just had a fun time!
18w: Christmas week is here! We normally celebrate the holiday with Tomeks family but with positive covid in his parents home we all decided to safely drop off gifts to porches and to zoom party our Christmas. This was an interesting feat with the boys but in the end they had lots of fun, toys, and were still surrounded by God's love!
Also at 18w I fell down the stairs. It definitely had me spooked with cramping, spotting, even some light contractions. Due to covid cases spiking in the hospital I go to (thank you Christmas people) my OB recommended continually observing and talking on the phone with her instead of going in in-person.
Despite being nervous everything seems to be ok from what we can tell and we will go back in for an ultrasound and appt early February. (Yet again delayed from what we did with our boys but this is because of the pandemic) We will do a phone appt in between now and then.
