Say it one more time for my brain and those in the back...Yep we are pregnant again!!

This journey started off way different than our previous two. Due to covid I couldn't get my appointments until December. Previously it was also just my OB I checked in with but this pregnancy meant also my neurologist due to the multiple sclerosis and the medication I am on for it.

Anyway we still figured that wasn't too bad as I was initially estimated to be due July 23rd. This was because I initially counted one month of light spotting for 2 days as a cycle when in reality that was implantation bleeding. Oops. Two baby boys already here and I still am learning.

So we estimated incorrectly by A LOT! in reality that appt showed we were actually 16w and ending the first trimester.

Assumed 8 weeks but actually 12 weeks: We ordered the SneakPeek sex ("gender") reveal kit. It was fairly easy and straight forward to do and we quickly were waiting for our results.

We received our email back November 20th….BOY! We are having a boy!!

You want to see a thrilled Tomek. He was stoked for a boy. At least 3 boys is easy to bunk together and such.

We started fighting...I mean talking about baby boy names! After having 2 boys (meaning we used 4 boy names) it was difficult! I wanted John but after already using one of my husband's best friends names (even though that wasn't why initially) he didn't want to do that again. In the end we both at least agreed the first name should be celtic like our other boys.

Initially I wanted to announce this at Thanksgiving but his brother and his wife announced they were pregnant and expecting a little girl so I wanted it to be celebrating her and us not take any of that light away from them.

Our boys and us celebrating what we are thankful for!

My brother in law and his wife showing us what they are thankful for! Baby girl on the way!

So we decided we would wait until our ultrasound and neuro appointments December 15th.

And Gosh are we glad we did!!

I went in to that appt and long story short we found out our due date was wrong and our baby count!! We were given a new due date of June 1st. Making us 1 day shy of 16 weeks at the time (or was it exactly 16? I don't remember). And we found out we weren't just pregnant with our surprise post-vasectomy baby but we were being extra surprised with TWINS!

Now I had to go into this appt alone due to covid (yayyy) so of course I was like oh gosh how am I going to drop this ball on Tomek even harder than the first "we are pregnant" ball. Lol

So when I tell him in the car he is nearly speechless. I think for a few days, maybe even a week, he would just randomly say, "twins."

We started getting excited though. Room planning and my biggest excitement was creating our dragon egg reveal for our babies.

Tomek and I had a lot of fun recording it and sharing with family and friends. The shock wave clearly spread beyond just us. We started with 1 egg and just before we opened it...boom pulled out another! Heehee

After we did our reveal I edited our initial social media announcement to show dragons instead of a baby dragon!

Our Ultrasound revealed:

Baby AA: Boy, Declan 162bpm, measuring 2 weeks behind.

Baby BB: Girl, Adeline, 183bpm, measuring 4 weeks behind.

Both small but separate sacs and separate umbilical cords but share a placenta (thus we are watching for the chance of one twin getting more nutrition than the other from said placenta, but currently are being told we are completely fine).

We happened to feel them move the day before my ultrasound at home and I felt them at the appt when we were going crazy shoving them around to try and get clear anatomy pictures. This was crazy to me because I felt like there was no way I should feel them yet!

But inside was fluttering and the one time on the outside was when Tomek and I think one of them had hiccups.

Our first trimester was crazy and hormonal of course. Some days I ate the entire kitchen and others I couldn't even stand the smell of food.

My boys have been wonderful and understanding as well as daddy! To a new year full of lots of joy and happiness for everyone! 🥰
