We are so pumped for this week! We have been planning our costumes for the Irvington Halloween Festival for what feels like forever now. I finally completed mine to showcase you in the womb and cannot wait!

OB Appointment:

We started this week off with our OB checkup appointment. Pretty much standard checks (asking me to pee in a cup and being unable to because you kept pushing on my bladder in the morning I peed before going in...oops). 110/60 blood pressure and 156 bpm for baby Colin. I have gained 1lb so a total of 6lbs max (sometimes it's only 5.5lbs).

My body feels more achy than before and I started experiencing the pains in my upper ribs as well as abdomen. It is unclear if these are braxton hick contractions or round ligament pain as with Patrick the feeling in the ribs sent me to L&D at 34 weeks and they were false labor contractions. Either way it is making my body feel more uncomfortable.

Also I thought Patrick was a mover in the womb but Colin has him beat for days. Patrick averaged 20-40 kicks a minute and Colin is 50 minimum and I can't ever keep up the count. Patrick made my belly have those tiny little bounces while Colin looks like he is headbanging inside the womb. heehee.

Irvington Halloween Festival:

We got your brother and ourselves all dressed up and ready to go. We pulled up the event on our drive over to see where we were supposed to meet for judging...rained out! What? NO. I was so upset it was rained out. We love the festival each year and already have plans with you next year little Colin! So, we went to my in-laws home so they could see your big brother in his costume and he enjoyed chasing the cat around in circles...which was especially amusing with him in his winged dragon costume!

Despite being rained out they allowed picture entries for the contest and we managed to pull out third place! This was crazy to us as we didn't even think we would place. I just figured it would be family fun. So we got our first family award!

Halloween Trick or Treaters:

Halloween was even worse than festival day. It started sleeting during trick-or-treating hours. I couldn't believe it. I made a cup of hot cocoa and marshmallows and perched by the door. We had some brave trick-or-treaters that came and got way more candy than they needed as well as a toy just because we had SOO much! Overall it was gross but I had fun watching them come. There was a dinosaur that was hysterical trying to get in and out of the back of an SUV in his inflatable costume that definitely made my night!

Momom & her Passion:

Final note of the week is that I decided to start using some of the time after putting Patrick to bed to step back into a part of myself. I started woodburning again. I definitely need a new tool as mine is old and not super thrilled to heat but it has been so much fun getting back into it, and it helps that I already have orders going out!

Mickey/Minnie Themed Coaster Set woodburnt!
