Symptoms: Heartburn is still running wild every evening. Insomnia is rough when having to keep up with big brother through the day too. Diarrhea every few days is a gross truth that seems to be continuing from last week. Puking has finally stopped again. Contractions are occurring but randomly. The pelvic pain (SPD) still is quite painful and random but hurts the most at night.

Weight: so far I've gained 19 lbs. Assuming by birth I will break the 20lbs mark but not sure. Patrick I gained around the same amount and lost it fairly quickly so not a big concern for me.

OB appointment: started this week with another weekly OB appt as usual. No big changes. Everything is going well. Heartbeat is staying around the 145-155bpm range and my blood pressure was a good 116/62. No concerns or new things so a pretty simple visit. OB did discuss whether or not we would want to do membrane sweeps in future weeks. So hubs and I discussed that and decided no unless we want to at the 40w appt if we make it that far.

While at the appointment it was quite interesting to see Patrick trying to play with a little girl (she was 3) and how different they were. He is what we call an aggressive sharer and she is apparently the pilar opposite and when he shared something she would be very upset if he touched it or any of the other toys. He also was running around making friends with everyone else there. We can only imagine what both of you will be like together. Heehee.

Doula: After our OB appt we had a doula appt which again was pretty standard as we have already met and talk a ton. We made sure we were all on the same page for your arrival and shared our birth plan with her. We also discussed the difference with the flu protocols and how we are aiming for an early 24hr release from the hospital to get us all back home together as quickly as possible.

Angel Above: A very special woman in our life passed away this week as well. We have so many wonderful memories with her and as I keep looking back on pictures I notice more often than not she was behind the camera instead of in them but they were moments with her just the same. Momma Anne will always be so very cherished by all of us. I am so sad you won't be able to meet her but know when we put you in the baptism outfit she made for you and your brother that she will be watching over you and all of us. I'm going to be spending one evening baking cookies all night to take to her visitation. It's really not much but it's the best I can think to do. Anyway so you aren't allowed to come yet! She truly was super grandma and I am cherishing the special outfits she made for you boys that much more!

Texas Roadhouse: This weekend we went out to eat with our friends Pat and John and then hung out at Pat's house so his baby girl Hazel and Patrick could play some. They had a great time for sure.

Then we got groceries which included the first time I have ever been able to use an expectant mother parking spot!! Yes I was overly thrilled and had Tomek take a picture despite the wind and cold!

and headed home for the evening.

The next day we tried to spend pretty chill at home. Though that meant dada spending about 2 hours of the morning childproofing our kitchen...again! Your big brother is very good at figuring things out and getting into things he shouldn't. Tomek took to work and a few times your brother "helped" him with his process. Heehee

Preparing: I keep realizing we have so much to get ready for when you arrive and still can't believe we don't have it all done/ready to go. I did get our hospital suitcase packed including gifts for the nurses, my OB, and doula but we still have yet to get all your clothes out, diaper station setup, and figure out the sleeping plan for in our room. Oh and put your carseat in the car. I know it sounds like chaos and we aren't ready but I promise when you get here we will figure it all out! We love you so much already little Colin.
