Weeks 9 & 10:
These 2 weeks are going to be pretty brief but they are based off of what happened, and not a lot in these two weeks really changed.
9 weeks- Symptoms: Same symptoms. I am tired and worried about faltering on my responsibilities to my family and friends lately. I have also been very stressed (more on that in a minute). Morning sickness about the same, fatigue, breast soreness, back pain. The only new symptom is occasional cramps when I laugh, sneeze, or cough. This worried me at first but my NP said it is totally normal because of how the uterus is doubling in size and pushing on more. Weight: still just at -2lbs though I feel like I am bloated as my pants are getting a bit snug in the waist, so I pick my pants to wear more carefully now.
Focus: Still quite in love with mexican food (burrito!) but also had a craving for gummy bears (Husbands/Boyfriends if your lady asks for something please get them for her, you have no idea how much she can NOT control those cravings and how happy it will make her in the end!) I threw up once this week, making a total of around 5-8 times so far since week 5, which isn't fun but I assume it isn't that bad either.
10 weeks- Symptoms: I started this week with absolutely no symptoms, literally days one through four, nothing! This honestly made me more worried than relieved to not feel it. I was worried this was a sign of a miscarriage (MC), despite there not being any bleeding or common signs of a MC. I prayed repeatedly asking God to help Tomek and I have this child and raise them in his image. As well as asking him to protect our little one. After voicing my concerns to Tomek on the evening of day 4, who naturally told me not to worry (seriously Hakuna Matata), I started day 5 with ALL the symptoms back, with nausea worse than ever. I have to admit though I hate these feelings I was so relieved to know that my little one was still inside and I thanked God for giving me a sign that everything was okay, even if it had to be all these negative symptoms. So beyond my symptoms my weight changed to -3 lbs since the start weight but we received some exciting news!
Focus: Prior to our pregnancy we actually found out that our good friends Pat and Hannah were pregnant and due in July, though they formally announced to everyone last week when we were 9 weeks, but this week we ALSO found out that two of our other good friends Gabe and Mere are also pregnant with their baby #2 and due technically two days before us!! This was soo exciting, but again we still have to hold out to tell everyone until next week but we did find it funny that 3 great friend couples are all announcing their pregnancies back to back in our 9-11 week timespan heehehe.
Cute Moment: the second half of this week was the first time I felt bloated. The first time I started feeling fat, but not in a cute pregnancy bump kind of way, just fat. The reason I call this a cute moment is because of the sweetest thing my husband starting saying to me this week. I mentioned to him about feeling fat and his response was, "Well just remember it isn't you getting fat, our baby is!" Obviously a true statement to a degree, but I couldn't get over just how sweet he was to me in that moment!
So that is all. Definitely keep a look out for the next post, it will be fun sharing HOW we are planning on telling everyone, and how it goes then. :)
