25 Weeks:

Symptoms: Migraines, back pain, nausea, constipation, constant peeing. I experienced constipation for the 1st time in my life this week but thankfully only for just over a day. Increasing my intake of fiber just in that 1 day made a huge difference!

Weight: This week I am 7 lbs gained. It seems as much as I try to exercise and eat healthy I am just on a track of gaining 1 lb. a week. This isn’t terrible but it would mean by the end I would have gained between 20-25 lbs. This is actually where I am hoping to land but I also know I will likely gain more near the end so I am hoping to slow myself down a bit, but we will see.

Baby Email: Have I mentioned my hubby is such a sweetie! I have had so many things on my crazy baby brain, planning, ideas, do’s and don’t’s, etc. that I forgot one that I had seen and really wanted to do. I saw this thing about writing letters to your baby and saving them for when they graduate high school and I liked the idea of doing that via email. So, because Tomek and I really do share a wavelength occasionally he actually shared the idea with me the other day and it hit me that that was one my my ideas pre-crazy baby brain! So, we set-up an email for our little Patrick and are writing him emails about the year, funny letters, crazy memories with him, whatever we want him to read when he is 18. I can’t wait! I’m so thankful Tomek thought of this because it was something I wanted to do so badly!

Amazon Scammers: After such a happy section I have to go and ruin it with the Amazon scammer! Tomek and I have received some items from our baby registry but I got a notification that 1 package of 2 was delivered from a family member; so I went to see if I could look it up. I was able to see what the item was but not it’s status. We after a week and half with no 2nd package we were worried that it got lost in route. I didn’t want to have to tell the family member yet so I went to trusty (or not so trusty I found) Google and searched: “Amazon Registry Help Number.” Well this number popped up.

So I called the number and this Indian man named Sergio F. took my call. He claimed he accessed my account and that there was a problem with multiple users accessing the account. I explained that this had nothing to do with the account but in fact a baby registry item, and told him what that item was. He said yes I know I can see here but it is pending processing because there are 2 cards on the order and they are trying to charge mine so he needed me to verify my card information and take 5-10 minutes going through my account information and then we would be fine.

I became quite agitated and told this guy that my card was not on it, it isn’t possible. And then he started raising his voice at me. So I in turn started raising mine saying, “You are not listening to me, listen this is not on my account, it is a baby registry item!” He started yelling at me asking whether or not I wanted the item and if I did I would do what he said. I asked to speak to a supervisor and he said they don’t have supers there. So I hung up. Upset and frustrated and he called me back! Asking why I hung up on him and stating that I must not want the item that badly. I said how about you tell me what the 1st item on the order was? (At this point I feel like he is a scammer, though I was pretty skeptical when he felt the need to ask for my card information 6 times and started yelling when I refused).

He claimed that they are not able to see the specific items just the order number, so I said but wait you said you saw the current item we are discussing. More yelling ensued from both parties and I hung up. He called back 2 more times. I didn’t answer. I was so angry I was crying. I just wanted to figure out this issue. I called Tomek at work because I needed help to calm down. We talked through it, he calmed me down, and said the number I called isn’t listed anywhere on Amazon, and my friend Carly to the rescue sent me the correct link to Amazon’s help which is:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/contact-us/ref=hp_gt_comp_cu?ie=UTF8&nodeId=508510 and you type in your number and they immediately call you!

I reported the scammer and his number, and was happy to find out my account was safe and the baby item was on it’s way with a Tuesday expected delivery. When I got off the phone with them I received this email….

At first I thought it was from the real amazon but check out this next picture….

Always check the addresses you are replying to. This was the scammer. And I got my first hint when I saw the email was signed Sergio F. again. I couldn’t believe it. The nerve of this guy! I marked the email spam and am happy to be out of that situation but just wanted to share for some awareness and general caution!

Horcrux: So one day Tomek and I were sitting on the couch joking about the fact that he made me eggs for breakfast, I ate a bowl of cereal, and then after only say 30 minutes I was hungry again. So, I went and grabbed the little bit of BBQ chips that were left and I ate them, all of them (note there wasn’t a big chip in sight but those pieces were delicious!). Then it hit me I used to hate bbq chips. Tomek said yeah, and my oatmeal creme pies. I said yeah but they taste so yummy now. He talked about how none of his snack food was safe and said it was because there was a part of him in me now…..”so basically Patrick is a Horcrux….which makes me the dark lord!” I did die laughing but exclaimed, “Our son is not a horcrux!!” But we both had a good laugh about it.

Back Pain Miracle: I have had my U-shaped pillow from the very beginning of this pregnancy but I think I may have been using it wrong. I kept wanting to lay in the middle on my back but I would wake with the worst back pains ever for these past 2 weeks (darn that growing baby! heehee). But when I would lay on my side I would put my arm under the pillow and I would wake up with the worst shoulder pain and my arm numb. I just started sleeping with my shoulder and arm still above the pillow and that has made a world of difference. Now I won’t tell you my back doesn’t hurt some still, but nothing like it did!

Race Day/Memorial Day/100 Days!: So the day before race day I made strawberry mini cupcakes (My MIL asked for mini which limits the creativity of them but they were okay) and let them cool overnight. The morning of I went to work on the details! :) I made cream cheese icing , patriotic sprinkles, and little blue stars out of fondant (again they were tiny!).

I also managed to remember that I had this cake tower that I got on a whim like 3 or 4 years ago, and even moved it from one house to the other without using it because we don’t really do anything for July 4th since about that long ago. But it was perfect for my Memorial Day cupcakes!

Foods: Not only did I make 4 dozen cupcakes for the party (which were all eaten!) but Tomek and I also boiled 4 dozen eggs creating a grand total of 8 dozen deviled eggs!! I forgot to take a picture of the gloriousness but it was a masterpiece. And the party went through 3.5 trays out of the 4 tray total so I am guessing lots of eggs were eaten and enjoyed as well! I had fun making these with Tomek. We enjoy doing some things in the kitchen together, but also know our limits. I don’t mess with his cooking, and he doesn’t mess with my baking. However, I do cook for him, just not the same time. :)

So we spent the rest of the day from 11am until 9pm, I was seriously exhausted but happy, at my in-laws house enjoying a cookout, games with friends, and listening to the race on the radio (sort of).

A couple years back I went to this church craft fair and a woman was selling dresses she made out of t-shirts and I found this great one for race day and I wore it for the first time this year, though with a bump it’s not really a dress but with a pair of shorts under it it was the perfect top for Patrick and I to sport for the day. :)

Memorial Day Monday was sad to see my wonderful hubby have to go back to work but also exciting when I woke up, Why? Because I am so excited that we are officially at 100 days! 100 days until our little Patrick is due. Obviously he may come earlier or even later but our countdown is at 100 days and it is so huge to me!!

Sis Day & a Haircut: I went out with Sarah shopping, neither one of us are very “shoppy girls” but we had so much fun. She found many cute things for her future nephew (I did too) and even the perfect gifts for a friend’s daughter. Seriously it is getting so hard not to buy stuff for Patrick yet when I see these baby aisles filled with cute boy things! haha We went out to eat lunch at our usual place, McCalisters and they weren’t able to make spuds. How? I don’t know, I didn’t even know it was possible. So we left there and ended up at Boston Market. It was delicious but I still need that spud soon.

I also went to my hair salon to my favorite stylist and friend, Kay, and had her take care of my hair. I went in with just a couple inches off notion and came out with definitely more than that taken off. But it is so light and perfect for this summer she knows what she is doing that is for sure! And still past my shoulders (a must for me)!

I ended this week with 1 day of pretty intense insomnia. No matter what I did I couldn’t get back to sleep (I fell asleep around 10 and woke up just before midnight). So, I spent the entire sleep hours on the couch watching Gilmore Girls and eventually making my hubby some muffins for breakfast, even though he still was asleep. I even managed to slip back into bed for some morning cuddles before he had to leave for work. Though I was exhausted I was quite happy to use the time the way I did. I did go to sleep and managed to sleep for about 2 hours after he left for work but I was still exhausted. Thankfully the last night I actually managed to fall asleep hard and didn’t even wake up to pee! It was glorious!
