Welcome to week 11!! There is so much excitement in this week to share we made it it's own post. So of course we will hit on symptoms and weight but the focus is on how we told all of our family and friends, YAY!!!
Symptoms: I will say first 1 symptom I kept leaving out that I have had since about the 6th or 7th week is the constant need to pee. At night I get up about 2-3 times to pee, I am starting to wonder if this is what I should expect for the rest of my life... So I would say that this probably has a big influence on me being tired all the time too. Other than this my symptoms are still nausea, vomiting a couple times, breast soreness, and fatigue. Weight: -5 lbs. I have now lost 5 pounds since the start of my pregnancy.
How we told everyone!! Seriously we were so excited for this week, I prepped, thought up ideas for everyone the best I could and here my amazing readers are the results:
First of all we told our closest friends before our family, why? Because we love our family and KNEW they would definitely tell before our friends would. However, we still told everyone in a whirlwind of a day and finished the late evening with a social media post that way we were able to share all the news the way we were hoping to! Though this day was quite exhausting by the time we were able to go to bed we were so happy with how we told everyone.

Carly: Carly has been my best friend since we were children. So technically told her the night before when she dropped her puppy, Oliver - seriously he is adorable!, off at our house. She came in and we were talking about the pups and I asked her if she wanted to see a picture (Carly is an amazing photographer and later admitted that she thought I was showing her my new work ID). I pulled out the envelope with our ultrasound and handed her the ultrasound. She immediately hugged me, started crying, and was so very excited! Initially I was going to tell her the day after we told everyone else but when she asked us to watch her pup we just figured it was the perfect opportunity so we could post on social media the next night and still tell her in person.
Pat & Hannah (expecting baby #1), Gabe & Meredith (expecting baby #2): We started the day out going out to brunch with our friends. Apparently Pat had an inkling once we told him that we had invited Gabe and Mere too. But anyway we ordered our meals and were just randomly talking and Tomek turned to me and said he didn't know how to say it. I said just tell them the way you said you would (earlier he said he would just be like guess what, we're pregnant too. lol). Instead he said well congratulations to everyone! Points to Gabe and Mere's first child sitting at the table and says 1, points to Mere's belly 2, points to Hannah's belly 3, and points to my belly and says 4! This led to lots of excitement and of course a wonderful breakfast of friends even thinking about daddy play dates and the ensuing fun we were going to have with our children all so close in age! Thankfully Tomek told them before the food came out, or at least before I ate all mine, because I immediately had to get up and go to the bathroom. It was by far the worst projectile vomit I have ever had in my life, including in this pregnancy. I hated it so much but recovered, cleaned up, and returned to the table. To which Gabe, naturally, asks "Did you manage to keep any of it down?" haha no! :( And then Pat asked for my left over bacon. I was glad we all could have a good laugh about everything though and I am truly so excited for the journey we get to share! :)
Sarah & Momma Anne: After brunch I went over to one of my good friends and her mom's house. Backstory, her mom has openly accepted me into her family and been so supportive of all I do. I truly love them dearly and so I kept trying to think of something special to do for them. The answer kind of hit me a few weeks earlier when I hung out with them and momma Anne let me know that she was my momma and happy to have me as part of her family too. Back-backstory: I was a foster kid and so my "family" I have now are people that have been so good to me, loving, helpful, and guided me towards the best me and I consider them all my parents, which leads to multiple moms and dads, but I am more than happy to have them all as my parents in my life!! So I made two coasters that were wood burnt with the superhero logo and engraved in the word Auntie on one and Grandma on the other. I then made a card for momma Anne to open. The card said on the outside: "Momma Anne you are such a wonderful woman, loving mother, and amazing grandma. I love you!" Then she opened the card and it said, "Will you be my baby's super grandma? Coming September 2018." She was so excited and then I gave her and Sarah both the coasters, which Sarah now tells me they display and won't use. heehee. They both were so excited and happy for us, I was grateful to share a special moment telling them.

John: John is my dad. He was a friend to a foster family I was with for a while but even after becoming estranged from them he has always been very supportive of me and helped me to continue my education and just had some words of wisdom for me when I felt confused about something. My dad loves the Big Bang Theory show. On the show Sheldon goes to knock on Penny's door and knocks 3 times and says Penny and just repeats this until she answers. Because of this I made a onesie that said "Knock. Knock. Knock. Grandpa" three times and then "Coming September 2018. My dad lives in a different state and so it definitely wasn't possible to tell him in person so I sent him the onesie and he was so excited he shared it with all his siblings, my aunts and uncle. (I did forget to mention I also found out my cousin, Jaimie, is expecting her 3rd baby in October! Really, all the babies, and we are all so excited!!).

Teresa & Don: Teresa and Don are my God-parents and were one of my earliest foster parents when I was young and I still refer to them as mom and dad. They also have two children that I will include under the siblings section. :) They live in the same state but they are further away and unfortunately this weekend has consisted of some icy roads and we didn't want to take the risks to drive that far. So I sent Donniea text message, because I knew he would be at work, a onesie that we got that says "My grandpa rides a Harley" with a picture of a Harley on it and told him, "Hey dad I just wanted to share our big news...Super grandpa due September!" To which he said "YEHAW so proud of both of you." I tried to call Teresa first but she wasn't answering the phone, What?! I called so many times. I actually called MaKayla first and then tried Teresa again. We talked on the phone and I said "Where have you been I keep trying to call you" Long story short she was in the shower and I said well GRANDMA I wanted to talk to you...she was like really?! She was very happy for us of course too. This will be her 2nd grandbaby as her younger daughter, my sister MaKayla, just had a baby in Dec.

Teresa & Larry: Teresa & Larry are my MIL AND FIL, or husband's parents! They live about 5 minutes from our house at most. Now I had told them last week that for Valentine's day we wanted to take them out on a double date dinner. our treat. So we went out to Longhorn for dinner. I had two little gifts for them to open. When we sat down I sat them off to the side and Teresa asked about them. I explained that they are their valentine's day gifts and she was like "but I didn't get you anything." We just explained that is the point, we always do stuff for others instead. So we started talking about other stuff and eating our bread (man I love their bread!). Eventually she asked if they should open them before or after the meal. So, I said she could now. I switched my cellphone to camera record mode, which I had intentionally been playing with for a while, and started recording her as she opened the first box. Inside the box was a quail egg that was painted gold and had wings attached to it so it looked like a little golden snitch. She quite liked it so when I told her she had to crack it open she made a sad face and Larry goes, "I can do it." I told you it was a tiny quail egg right?! Well Larry turned into Hulk smash! heehee. He slammed his hand down so heard on the table on the egg the whole restaurant was staring, and it took all of me not to die laughing on the camera at him. So Teresa pulled out the paper from the little remaining pieces. The paper said, "1000 Points to Gryffindor for an adorable baby. Congratulations Grandma & Grandpa Coming September 2018." So much shock, happiness, tears, everything and it just felt so exciting to share this moment with them. It was funny because Larry kept turning to Teresa saying she is going to be a grandma and she eventually said and you a grandpa and he just froze and said no. haha. The second gift was a cute frame where we had put our first ultrasound in. All in all what a wonderful dinner together!

Siblings: So we told my siblings MaKayla and Marc when we told my god-parents. I called Kay when I was trying to get mom so I told her and talked to her over the phone and then we sent Marc the same onesie that we got also for Tomek's brother. Tomek called his brother Marty and sent him the onesie that said "My uncle is the shit" he told us that it was the only onesie he would let our kid wear around him (someone should tell him how many a baby goes through in one day heehee). We told Tomek's sister, Michaela in person because she lives just a couple houses from us. When dinner was over I went over and told her that her parents were leaving to go visit family and we were going to watch their dog. She was like okay. So I told her that her mom might need her to come over and hug her goodbye first. She asked why and I said well because you are going to be an aunt! She literally started jumping and screaming. So much fun!

Aunts/Uncles: So we definitely didn't call all of our extended family. We called one of Tomek's aunts because she is like the go to voice to all the extended family and she was of course excited for us (her daughter just had a baby last year). We did also call Tomek's uncle on his mom's side since she only has one. So we talked to his aunt and uncle telling them before we posted on social media! :)
Social Media: So the last thing we did was post on social media to our extended family and extended friends. We both have high security settings and only add people that we are close to so we are comfortable sharing stuff on social media. I created a Harry Potter themed baby announcement, and even included a crochet Hedwig lovey I made and a Gryffindor crib blanket in the picture. As soon as we shared here we both silenced our phones and went to bed cuddling together reminiscing about the day we just had!

And that my friends is the end to a very long, wonderful, exciting, and happy day/week!! :) Until next time!
