I Need Backup!

At first I contemplated not sharing this because to me it was slightly embarrassing. I am known to be quite a "clean freak" so much so my father in law makes jokes that I am ocdc (as a spin off of ACDC) and this article and pictures will show an out of hand, stressed, exhausted mom who didn't feel like she could get help anywhere.
I am sure you can understand my dismay and stress truly never feeling like I had time to clean after our son was born when a dirty home truly equaled stress, frustration, anxiety, and even depression-like symptoms at times. Disclaimer: if you have the magical baby that will stay in a swing while you clean congratulations...we did not! Our son had a temperature regulation issue so he had to be held 24/7 at first and then it became a thing that he always wanted as he had grown used to it.
Even now at 13 months old our son may give me 20 minutes of working on dishes or something before he is pulling on my pants, crying, bringing his blanket behind me and trying to lay against me (like pictured below).

I have tried everything to figure out how to get all the house chores done but it was never enough. The laundry would be done and the dishes over-flowing, The dishes done and the floor covered in hair (from the dogs). Eventually it just felt overwhelming. It felt like I couldn't have a clean house and a baby.
Add to this being pregnant and our world was topsy turvy. The house wasn't being cleaned, laundry, dishes, anything because I was experiencing migraines, dizziness, fainting spells, plus the neurology appointments finding lesions in my brain, and potential of MS. Needless to say I was a mess emotionally and physically and our house reflected the chaos. With all this we never got back on top of things.
Finally a mom group had a post about a cleaning service. I shared it to my husband as we had talked briefly about getting some help just to get on top of things again. Finally after a couple weeks contemplation and communication we decided YES! we need this. I was embarrassed that I did. I am supposed to have a perfect house because I am a stay at home mom. I even had a woman in another mom group post about how she loves being a SAHM and doesn't understand how people don't have time to clean. Well...come meet my child I guess. heehee. This week leading up to them coming I worked everyday and evening to clean dishes (which I still had a few for them to do in the end), the kitchen, and laundry. To say I am exhausted is an understatement.

Jennifer and Kevin came into our home today to provide their holiday special. We had a list of what we needed done and they went to town. I honestly could not believe their work! My house smelled amazing and looked great when they were done. They were so very friendly with me as well as with my 13 month old who felt the need to steal their swiffer, investigate them while vacuuming, and bring things to them while they were busy cleaning. They gave us a very sweet new customer gift as well!
Their company is called, "2 Of a Kind Cleaning" https://www.facebook.com/2ofakindcleaning/ and I cannot rave about them enough! They cleaned and I apologized for everything that was dirty or out of place repeatedly and they made it clear it was no big deal they would take care of everything, just sit and relax. Now of course my son wanted to investigate them the whole time so I was holding him moving around but when they left the sheer comfort of sitting on my clean couch, with a clean floor, with my toddler was an immediate flood of relief!

So to any of you new moms or even moms like me who are just struggling to get that clean house back I highly recommend talking to Jennifer! I was embarrassed to ask for this help but after receiving it it was so very relieving I just had to share! Thank you again Jennifer and Kevin! Hiring you both was by far one of the biggest blessings of this week!!
